A nature-inspired, play-based program for children ages 1.5 to 10 and their caregivers.

What it’s all about!

We believe children learn best through hands-on experiences in the natural world. Nature Sprouts Adventure Club offers weekly outdoor sessions that encourage curiosity, creativity, and connection — for both kids and their grown-ups. We follow the seasons, rain or shine, exploring everything from garden beds to forest trails.

Nature Sprouts Adventure Club Summer Camp

A Nature-Based Outdoor Camp for Curious, Creative Kids

Step into a summer filled with fresh air, muddy hands, big discoveries, and even bigger confidence.

At Nature Sprouts Adventure Club Summer Camp, children are invited to slow down, explore the natural world, and learn through hands-on, play-based experiences in the heart of Hollybrook Park in Wendell, NC.

This fully outdoor camp is designed for young explorers to connect with nature, build friendships, and develop real-life skills—all while having an unforgettable summer.

Details: Camp days from June 15th - August 14th, Monday - Friday from 8 am - 12 pm

What We’ll Explore This Summer

Each week brings a new adventure and theme, allowing campers to dive deeper into the wonders of the natural world:

  • Nature Exploration & Observation – learning to notice, question, and explore

  • Bugs & Ecosystems – discovering the tiny creatures that keep our world thriving

  • Building & Engineering in Nature – creating with sticks, stones, and imagination

  • Pollinators & Plant Life – understanding how plants grow and who helps them

  • Water & Outdoor Science – experimenting, predicting, and discovering

  • Caring for the Earth – learning simple ways to protect our environment

  • Garden to Table – exploring where food comes from

  • Creativity in the Wild – expressing ideas through nature-based art and play

Each day includes a balance of:

From garden to plate!

This week, campers will explore where food comes from and how plants grow. Through hands-on activities and sensory exploration, children will connect with herbs, seeds, and edible plants.

Campers will:

  • Create fragrant herb bundles

  • Explore seeds and how they grow

  • Learn about different plant parts

  • Taste simple herb-based creations

  • Play “farmers market” through imaginative play

This week builds a deeper connection between children and the food they eat.

Wild Wonders: A Week of Sensory Adventure

Theme: Discovering Nature Through Our Senses
Focus Skills: Observation, creativity, confidence, sensory awareness & imaginative play

Touch, splash, squish, listen, and wonder!

This week, campers will slow down and discover the outdoors in a whole new way as they explore nature through all five senses. From muddy creations and fragrant nature potions to colorful nature art and joyful water play, each day invites children to follow their curiosity, engage in open-ended exploration, and experience the magic of the natural world at their own pace.

Campers will:

  • Discover the many textures of the forest through hands-on sensory adventures

  • Mix nature potions and "forest recipes" in our Nature Sprouts Field Kitchen

  • Listen for birds, insects, wind, and water on a Summer Sound Safari

  • Create beautiful artwork using flowers, leaves, berries, and other natural materials

  • Splash, experiment, and cool off through creek exploration, water play, and bubbles

  • Strengthen observation skills while exploring the woods and creek with all five senses

This week celebrates curiosity, imagination, and child-led exploration, helping little adventurers build confidence, creativity, and a lifelong connection with the outdoors through joyful sensory play.

Campers will:
